VAT

Kleinunternehmer under §19 UStG — no VAT is charged by the operator, and no VAT ID exists. Nothing is sold today, so no VAT arises on anything here.

Payments

Papertrek is free during the open beta: nothing is for sale, no payment is processed, and your only agreement is with the operator named above. When paid plans launch — 2027 at the earliest — subscriptions will be sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record, which will then be the contracting seller, charge and remit VAT, and issue invoices. Papertrek will never receive or store card details.

Liability for content

We are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law. We make no guarantee that the content is complete or current, and we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information.

Liability for links

Papertrek stores links you add to your own manuscripts, and shows links to DOIs and preprint servers. We have no influence over the content behind them; their respective operators are responsible for it.

Consumer dispute resolution

The EU’s online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025. We are not obliged, and not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
